Languages in action, Europe in the making
In May 2026, a one-week language and cultural exchange on the theme of Europe will bring together 30 students and doctoral candidates from the member universities of Eucor – The European Campus. Participants will combine intensive language courses with cultural activities and intercultural experiences to better understand Europe and actively engage with it.
When? May 17–22, 2026
Where? Strasbourg
Eligibility
The program is open to students and doctoral candidates from Eucor universities up to the age of 29. A B1/B2 level in both French and German is required.
Objectives and Benefits
- Improve French and German language skills through intensive courses and tandem activities
- Gain a unique intercultural experience with students from five European universities
- Explore European identities, values, and cultures
- Build a cross-border academic network
- Experience Europe in a practical and interactive way through shared activities
Program (preliminary)
- Morning: Intensive language courses
- German and French courses at the University of Strasbourg (required level: B1–B2)
- Afternoon: Cultural activities on Europe
- Visits to European institutions such as the Council of Europe and Eurocorps
- Literature workshops and lectures
- Language activities and thematic walks
- Evening: Social activities
- Franco-German language café
- Game night
- Cinema visit
Registration
Places are limited. Registration is open from April 1 until April 24, 2026 via the designated application form.
Costs
Participation is free of charge. Accommodation is provided for participants from Karlsruhe, Freiburg, Basel, and Mulhouse. Lunch and dinner are included. Travel expenses are reimbursed for participants from Karlsruhe, Freiburg, Basel, and Mulhouse.

The event is organized as part of the 10th anniversary of the EGTC Eucor – The European Campus, in cooperation between the Eucor central office and the Department of German Studies at the University of Strasbourg.
